THE STRAY CATECHISMS

HEIDELBERG'S PRAISE BAND

          "THE STRAY CATECHISMS", Heidelberg's own praise band, plays each Wednesday evening for the "Praise Central at Heidelberg Church - A Casual Praise Service".  The group has played for First Night York, Dunkard Valley Live, "Takin' it to the Streets" and for several dances, banquets and private events.  The group has performed for the annual meeting of the Penn Central Conference of the United Church of Christ  held at Shippensburg University in June, 2005.  The band consists of Wicky Barnes, electric guitar, vocals and band leader; Pastor Chris Anderson, Guitar, Harmonica and vocals;  Karl Jacobs, drums; Karen Howe, vocals; Dan Powers, vocals and egg; and Lory Powers, vocals and tambourine.

     "Takin' It To The Streets" - Saturday, September 9th - 10AM-12Noon

    Dinner/Dance - Saturday, September 30th - 5:00 PM - Rock Around the Clock with the Stray Catechisms as they perform the best of the 50's and 60's.

     First Night York - Sunday, December 31 - at Heidelberg UCC
